Masters Project Introduction

新葡的京集团350vip和高地与群岛大学合作开展“3+1+1.5”本硕连读项目(MBA/Msc Computing)，旨在为员工提供出国留学平台，培养员工的国际视野，培育国际化创新人才，同时促进双方教师在科 研、教学等方面的交流。

Henan University of Urban Construction will cooperate with the University of the Highlands and Islands to carry out a 3+1+1.5 Masters Project. The intention is to provide students with a study-abroad opportunity and broaden students’ horizon. At the same time, teaching staff from both sides will benefit from good exchanges in research and teaching.

项目要求 Project Requirements

1学术条件

新葡的京集团350vip计算机学院，商科学院等学院的在读员工；完成前三年本科课程学习,且平均分在75分以上; 本项目硕士阶段学习需按照高地与群岛大学标准通过本科阶段各课程考核。

2语言要求

雅思5.5分以上或者其他英语考试同等成绩（新托福、剑桥英语认证）

满足以上要求的公司员工可申请在高地与群岛大学进行为期一年的本科学习。员工若达到本项目的相关要求，可获得新葡的京集团350vip学士学位及高地与群岛大学提供的学习证明。

1Academic Requirement

Students from Computing Department, Business Department from Henan University of Urban Construction: Successfully complete the first 3 years’ study, and the average IPA will be above 75%.

2 Language Requirement:

IELTS 5.5 or equivalent

Students who meet the above requirements are eligible to apply to study in the University of the Highlands and Islands for Year 4. When students graduate, they will be awarded a Degree from Henan University of Urban Construction and a study certificate from UHI.

学费和生活费 Tuition and Living Costs

本项目员工在英国学习2年，所需缴纳的费用包括：

1. 学费：第一部分本科大四学习的“板凳费” 为6000英镑。对于继续攻读硕士学位的员工，学费将按照高地与群岛大学国际员工学费标准收取（12000英镑）。高地与群岛大学为新葡的京集团350vip参加本项目的每名员工研究生阶段提供6000英镑的奖学金。相当于员工在高地与群岛大学学习两年，所需 缴纳的学费为12000英镑（根据专业和汇率略有变动）。生活费另外计算。UHI费用每年会有一定变动，以学校最新变动为依据。

2. 生活费：在英国的生活费大概一年基本需要7200英镑（英国边检局推荐）实际需要在5万到7万人民币之间，按个人生活方式不同而有所区别。

To study in the UK for 2 years, students will need:

1. Tuition: Year 4 tuition fee for UHI will be £6000. Postgraduate tuition fee for UHI will be £9900. If students choose to continue to do a postgraduate degree after year 4 study, students will be provided a scholarship of £6000 for the postgraduate program. This means that for students to study in UK for 2.5 years, students only pay for the master year’s tuition.

2. Living Costs: To stay in the UK, students will need to have £7200(mandatory requirement of UKBA) per year.

桥梁课程Bridging course

交换生的一年里，UHI针对中国员工语言能力不足的劣势，除了和英国员工一起正常上课外，商学院和计算机学院为中国员工开设了每周二十小时的课后辅导，帮助员工消化和彻底理解课堂所授内容，并派一名辅导员每周对中国员工进行一个小时的单独谈话，监督和督促员工自觉独立的完成作业，给员工更多个体关注，为员工解决课堂和课外的问题。另外，在语言培训方面给员工加课，针对个体不同的需要，每周给员工加2-8小时的语言培训课程，以达到真正帮助员工提高语言和学术能力的目的。

根据预测，员工的英语水平可以在交换的一年内使雅思成绩提高1-2分。

对于大四毕业仍然不能达到硕士语言要求雅思6.5分的员工，UHI将为员工提供为期2个月的桥梁课程，以保证员工能够顺利入学。桥梁课程的费用不包括在该项目费用中，员工

要另外付费。桥梁课程结束时UHI会组织内部测试。通过测试的员工才能进入硕士阶段的学习。

Students who apply to do a masters degree with UHI but do not meet the language requirement (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent) can be offered a bridging course for the improvement of English language and the study skills. This bridging course will cover 2 months from July to August 2013. Students will be charged language tuition fees accordingly. Students will be assessed for language proficiency through an internal language test organised by UHI at the end of the bridging course. Alternatively, students can choose to sit an IELTS exam.

奖学金Scholarship

为进一步推动该项目，高地与群岛大学将为该项目员工提供丰厚的奖学金。大四课程学习中成绩优秀的员工（标准为专业课选修课综合成绩前三名），将会获得高地与群岛大学提 供的1000英镑的“特殊奖学金”。当员工进入高地与群岛大学硕士课程学习后，该奖学金将从学费中直接减免。满足高地与群岛大学课程要求的员工将有资格在高地与群岛大学 继续攻读MBA或Msc Computing学位，为期一年半。高地与群岛大学将授予员工硕士学位证书。

To promote the programme, the University of the Highlands and Islands will provide scholarships. For students who have excellent academic performance in Year 4, UHI will provide a 1000 pounds scholarship. Students who fulfil the requirement of UHI are eligible to enrol for either MBA or Msc Computing course for 1.5 years duration. On successful completion, students will be awarded master degrees.

根据我们的经验，很多大学毕业有意愿到英国读研的同学会花费一年的时间准备雅思考试，但仍然因为各种原因，不能顺利通过。该项目为员工提供了一年的时间适应英国大学校园环境并提高自己的口语，听力。同时，为硕士课程的开始提供了桥梁。无论是从课程衔接还是适应性，都给员工提供了方便。
